We have Certificates in Anger Management, ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Providers (ADHD-CCSP), Certified Clinical Trauma Professionals Level 1 & 2 (CCTP), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (TF-CBT). We have training in Behavioral Therapies, Client-Centered Therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapies (DBT), Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT). We use a holistic approach to mental health that embraces minds, bodies, and spirits.
In the first sessions, we will complete assessments and gather information. We secure information from basic genograms, covering your histories in the areas of family, conflicts in the home, stability, struggles with income, substance use, cultures, traumas, previous mental histories, or family histories, schools, and abuses. We empower individuals to overcome personal obstacles to improve their relationships by using clinically-tested and evidence-based interventions. We also take a direct approach with our clients, never sugar-coating or telling them what they want to hear; we focus on what they need to hear to achieve the results they desire.
We believe that understanding races, ethnicities, and cultures (including one's own) is necessary to appreciate the diversity of human dynamics and treat all clients effectively. Incorporating cultural competencies into treatments improves therapeutic decision-making and offers alternative ways to define and plan treatment programs that are firmly directed toward progress and recovery.
We are excited about the normalization of seeking help, the increased access to services, and the increased awareness of the importance of prioritizing mental health.
